Shri Mariamman
The Tamil Hindu Temple is the oldest temple of Hindus and was built in 1884 for worshipping Goddess Mariamman. Located near Medan’s Little India, the gates of the temple are decorated by gopuram, a storey tower that is commonly found near the gate of the Hindus temples. This temple six flocked by the devotees during the Thaipusam and Deepavali festival. Canteens inside the temple sell vegetarian food.
Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni
This is a Catholic church built in an Indo-Mogul style and is situated on Jalan Sakura III. The church, devoted to Mary has two stories, and there is a small tower of seven storeys. This is a unique church as one can find components of another religion in its architecture. The truth is that it does not look at all like the conventional church.
